Where I can support you
People come to see me for many different reasons. These are some of the areas I most often work in and feel especially passionate about.
-
A diagnosis of illness — whether your own or a loved one’s — can bring fear, anxiety, and uncertainty. I have worked for a number of years at the Macmillan Horizon Centre in Brighton providing counselling support for individuals coping with diagnosis, treatment, recovery, or anticipatory grief. I provide a space where you can talk openly without needing to protect others or stay strong.

Grief is deeply personal and can feel isolating. I work half a day a week as a therapist at Martlets Hospice in Brighton where I’ve gained considerable experience. I offer bereavement counselling and grief therapy to help you process loss at your own pace. Whether your loss is recent or long ago, we can gently explore your feelings and experiences together.

You might identify as autistic, ADHD, AuDHD, dyslexic, or in another way neurodivergent. You may or may not have a diagnosis, you may be waiting for an assessment. You are welcome here either way. Many neurodivergent people come to counselling after feeling misunderstood, overwhelmed, or out of place in the world. You may have been told you are “too much,” “too sensitive,” or “not enough” in some way. You may have learned to mask who you are just to get through daily life. I provide neurodivergent-affirming therapy that respects your identity and supports you without pressure to mask or change who you are. Together, we can explore your strengths, challenges, and ways of navigating the world.

There’s often pressure on men to just “get on with it,” stay strong, or keep things to themselves — and that can make opening up feel uncomfortable or unfamiliar. You might be feeling stressed, low, angry, stuck, or struggling in your relationships. Whether it’s work, relationships, fatherhood, or just trying to understand yourself better, therapy can be a place to step back, make sense of things, and find a way forward that works for you.

I offer support to individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community through all aspects of life, from career and relationships to personal growth and mental well-being. I provide a space where you can talk openly about the challenges and joys of navigating life from an LGBTQIA+ perspective. Whether you're seeking clarity on your identity or working through life transitions I’m here to offer respect, understanding, and support. Together, we’ll explore your experiences and work toward a fulfilling, authentic life.

I work with people who are feeling stressed or burned out from work, helping them untangle what’s been building up and find a better sense of balance. Together, we look at how work pressures, expectations, and day-to-day challenges are affecting you, and create space to slow down and reflect. My approach is warm and collaborative, supporting you to regain your energy, feel clearer in yourself, and reconnect with what matters most.
